Before qualifying to this one of a kind event, 40 players have been pre-selected to participate to a video competition. Humanoid robots compete in soccer tournament RoboCup 2011 in Istanbul. Research issues include walking, running, kicking the ball while maintaining balance, visual perception of the ball, other players, and the field, self-localization, and team play.

This is the second annual Kicks for Cancer 56 3 v. 3 soccer tournament. All money goes to Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation to help end cancer and support those who have cancer.
